Dr Lorain Miller

Assistant Professor

Department: Social Work, Education and Community Wellbeing

Lorain is currently employed as an Assistant Professor within the Health and Life Sciences faculty. She currently delivers on the Intial Teacher Edcuation undergraduate programme of study and the Foundation Course in Health, Education and Social work. With regard to Intial Teacher Education she teaches primary mathematics and educational research, is a Professional Guidance Tutor and a University Link Tutor. She leads a module named Becoming a Professional within the Foundation Course. 

Prior to working at Northumbria University she was a teacher for 15 years in both primary and middle schools in the North East of England. Senior leadership roles held were predominantly in the area of mathematics lead.
