Mia | She/Her | Undergraduate Content Creator | BA International business with Spanish

Hey! I’m Mia, I’m 18 years old and I’m currently studying International Business Management with Spanish here at Northumbria University.

I chose to study this course as I run my own small business, and I would love to be a self-employed business owner in the future. I’ve also been speaking and studying Spanish for the past 7 years and I’m looking forward to my study abroad year, where I will live in a Spanish-speaking country.

I feel passionately about all things creative- design, fashion, music, you name it.

You’ll often find me scrolling through Pinterest looking for inspiration with a coffee in hand, and most definitely listening to music!

Outside of University, I love to travel and spend time with friends and family, and I like to document these memories through taking polaroids and digitals on my camera or creating short vlogs.

I’ve been a dancer since I was very young and love to perform on stage, and since starting my degree I’m now part of Northumbria Dance Society, as well as the Magazine Society- which both allow me to express my creativity in different ways. Joining societies is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made since starting my degree!

Being born in the North-East myself, Newcastle feels much like home to me (although much busier than the seaside town I’m used to!) but nonetheless I’m very grateful for the opportunities that both Northumbria and the city itself have in store for me.

I’m so excited to be part of Northumbria’s Digital Content Creator team, as the role allows me to document my life as a student living in Newcastle, which is something I enjoy doing over on my own social media too, and something I’d love to keep up as a career as I get older. Not only this, but I’m keen to inspire and inform current and prospective students at Northumbria with everything that university and the city have to offer.
