In-curriculum activities:

Graduate Futures work alongside academic colleagues to embed employability activities in programme. Get involved with:

  • Career Insights: deliver a session of your own or be involved in one of our Adviser led employability workshops to provide an insight into a specific industry or role. Give students an opportunity to experience the type of challenges your graduates face in their jobs and equip them for a post-graduate career.

  • Industry themed panels: Talk to students about industry sectors, the soft skills required, and hints and tips on recruitment processes. Or provide a snapshot of your own personal career pathway to inspire and influence Northumbria students.

Extra-curricular activities:

Promote your organisation and raise brand awareness by engagement with students across all faculties.

  • Skills workshops: help students to develop the skills they require for employment and be successful in applications. Sessions could be based around your industry sector, the work that you do or a particular aspect of the recruitment process such as assessment centres or interview techniques. Sessions could also include key transferable skills such as commercial awareness or personal branding.

  • Drop-ins: on campus foyer activities with the opportunity for an informal chat with motivated students, and signposting to the latest student and graduate opportunities.
