Leeds.

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle? 

Because the stature of the course and the dynamic within the city.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do? 

I believe it is a fantastic city for students to study and to  meet friends for life. My favourite things to do are to visit Baltic and the surrounding areas of Newcastle using the Metro.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most? 

The most surprising factor about the city was how small it is but also how easy it is to get about and in the majority, how cheap it is to live in Newcastle. Jesmond has also brought a great dynamic to my university life and I feel safe there.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming?  Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, very!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Meeting friends for life, genuinely maturing as a person and developing both my life and academic skills.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights? 

I was involved in Newcastle students' radio in my final year and have been involved in a number of exhibitions both within and outside of univeristy.

What is the best thing about your course? 

The beauty of freedom in terms of creativity.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Time management and to be articulate. 

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say? 

Make the most of your time here and work hard because it'll pay off!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)? 

I feel I have matured, become more articulate and had I not spent these three years at Northumbria, I would have been a very different person.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be? 

Unforgettable, life changing!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes!
