I am from the eastern part (Kolkata) of India. I started off as a microbiologist working on bacterial communication before I was drawn to astrophysics. I love to travel and have trekked into the Sahayadris (Western Ghats). I love to play Badminton.

BS, MS from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India.

Research

Research title: Transverse waves in the solar corona.

Research Interests:I am interested in solar physics especially the waves in solar physics. I am also interested in how the different layers of the solar atmosphere are connected. I am interested in developing new methods for analysis of solar data. I find the presence of large data repositories of solar a very promising place to apply tehadvanced machine and deep learning methods.
