Northumbria University has successfully transformed itself into a research-intensive modern university as proven by recognition as the Modern University of the Year 2025 by the Times and The Sunday Times. Furthermore, Northumbria recorded the biggest rise in research power of any UK university in REF 2021, moving up 27 places.
The ongoing research at Northumbria is leading to the creation of valuable IP which can be exploited for economic and societal benefit to meet global challenges. The IP Commercialisation Team is hosting their 4th annual IP Showcase to exhibit some of the incredible technologies arising from research at Northumbria.
On behalf of Northumbria University, the IP Commercialisation Team would like to invite you to our IP Showcase Event which is taking place on 11th June from 09:30am - 15:30pm on Northumbria University campus.
At the event, you can interact with our innovators to explore further the disruptive technologies being built at Northumbria and discuss possible joint R&D ventures and investment opportunities. There will be lightning talks from innovators on some of our IP commercialisation projects, as well as talks from existing and upcoming spin-out companies. We will cover a broad range of technology areas including MedTech, Space, software, Greentech, AgriTech and materials.
