Travelling to Sport Central

Sport Central, Northumberland Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8ST

In recent years, the Venues Team has collaborated with other departments across the University to inform visitors and delegates about the sustainable policies on campus and across the city of Newcastle. In 2022, we submitted our Green Check Assessment and proudly achieved the Gold Standard Green Tourism Award.

A great benefit of Northumbria University's central location within the city, is the fantastic public transport links. We take pride in encouraging delegates and visitors to utilise local and national bus and train networks. Discover below how easy it can be to leave the car at home and explore Newcastle Upon Tyne by foot, bus, taxi and train.
