March 2026 - Whats On
Movie Night
Date/Time: 7th March @ 7pm.
Location: Reds Bar, Students Union, Newcastle Campus.
This International Women's Week, we're bringing women together for a cosy movie night in Reds to watch Legally Blonde! Grab your friends and flatmates and settle in our bean bags and sofas with drinks and popcorn. Book your spot by getting a free ticket

University Mental Health Day
Date/Time: 12th of March @ 10am.
Location: Domain, Students Union, Newcastle Campus.
Celebrate University Mental Health Day with NSU and spend some time learning about wellbeing and mental health, grab some freebies and food and unwind with some of our activities
We're starting the day with a free continental breakfast from 10am alongside our free activities which run until 3pm. The Uni wellbeing team will be there along with external wellbeing organisations to offer their advice and opportunities to enhance your wellbeing. Oh and we cant forget the oh so cute therapy animals!!!!

International Womens Day Film Festival
Date/Time: 7th of March @ 11am.
Location: Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle.
International Women's day Film festival - Highlighting and celebrating brilliant films made by female voices from the North of England.
The Young Women's Film Academy & Doc North are bringing you a fantastic film show case. Highlighting the brilliant talent of female film makers from the North of England.
There will also be a Q&A with some of the film makers and Natasha Hawthorthwaite from Doc North. So have your questions at the ready.
We will be showing:
3 films supported by Doc North's Northern Doc Fund programme

A film by the YWFA

Royal television award winning film by Northumbria uni graduate (Trixie Parkin-Christie)

Tickets for this event will be on a donation basis. This money will help the YWFA to carry on delivering their core programmes of workshops and to give more opportunities for young women and girls in the North East to gain confidence and work within the film and tv industry.

Location: Will span across locations at Knightsbridge, the King's Road and Fulham Road.
Across four days, showrooms, studios and brands open their doors for a curated programme of events, talks and installations.

St. Patricks Day Festival
Date/Time: 15th of March.
Location: Trafalgar Square.
Catch the colourful St Patrick's Day parade through central London and then watch live performances from famous Irish musicians, as well as rising stars and special guests, in Trafalgar Square's St Patrick's Festival. Check out the market of craft stalls and tuck into traditional and modern Irish food.
