Want to build skills that set you apart, test a business idea, or kickstart a freelancing career?

Running twice a year, Enterprise Experience is an interactive, one-day event at Newcastle City Campus, designed to give you practical tools for your future, whether you want to launch your own business, work freelance or bring fresh, enterprising ideas to an employer.

Delivered by expert industry mentors alongside our Student and Graduate Enterprise team, you'll dive into hands-on sessions, including:

  • idea generation
  • marketing and branding
  • income generation
  • pitching

You don’t need a business idea to join. All you need is an open mind, a curious mindset, and a willingness to solve problems collaboratively.

Who is it for?

This event is open to all Northumbria University students and recent graduates, from all degree subjects and levels of study.

It’s ideal if you are:

  • curious about self-employment, side hustles, or freelancing.
  • looking to develop the practical problem-solving skills employers look for.
  • ready to collaborate, work in team challenges, and build your confidence.

How to apply

Applications will open in Autumn 2026. Look out for updates nearer the time and apply early, as places are limited.
