Our Alumni - Work For Us
I joined Northumbria International Business School in September, 2022. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Durham University.
I hold a PhD in Economic Geography from Syracuse University, Syracuse - NY. At Syracuse University, I conducted a qualitative cross-country comparative research, examining the impact of aerospace transnational corporations on skill regimes in South Carolina, US, and São José dos Campos, Brazil.
As a postdoctoral researcher at Durham University, I did research on the ongoing transition within the UK oil and gas sector, seeking to understand why some firms, such as majors, are divesting from the North Sea while other corporations, such as private equities, replace them. I am still part of this research with Durham University, but now as a Honorary Fellow.
My research interests are related to four main topics: Comparative politics of economic development, global production networks, geographies of foreign transnational investment, and labour governance/skill regimes.
