Industry-Academia Partnership

 

 

The Industry-Academia Partnership is based upon the premise that strategic linkages between industry and academia can improve quality and foster innovation and entrepreneurship within engineering, in turn enhancing employability and boosting economic development through application-inspired research and innovation. Through this partnership, Northumbria University aims to support research collaborations which will generate significant long term impacts and benefits.

 

Project 1: Development of a small-scale combined Waste-to-BioEnergy system with solar Organic Rankine Cycle for heat and power production in rural areas of Colombia.

Project 2: Multifunctional engineered layers based on absorption dynamics of responsive natural hydrogels for capturing greenhouse and toxic pollutants in animal farming and fertilizer industry.
