Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
Newcastle isn't to far away and I had heard lots of great things about the University and the course I'm studying.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
I love Newcastle! I was up here a lot before I moved, always visiting my older brother and having days out with my family, my favourite thing to do is go to the Boiler Shop Steamer, although this has only been around the past couple of months.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
I was surprised about how close and handy everything is, I was really impressed about the very fast ongoing developments to the city how quick some of the changes are being made.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
My Tutors and Lecturing staff.
What is your favourite place on campus?
The Design Building, I love sitting in my little area on the first floor and just getting on with work it's much easier now that the building's open 24/7.
What is the best thing about your course?
The final outcomes, being a designer it is always great to see what the final piece that you have designed/ rendered is and it's also interesting to see what other people have made as well .
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
To date, it seems that all my lessons are valuable and I think they are collecting together and making me a greater student
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
I would love to be off in a different contry designing for a big branded name. I think my skills as a developer have sharpened and just my ability to tell when something has been designed well.
Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?
I start my placements next year and I am looking forward to them.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
DO IT!!! This University is an excellent place to study you have all the facility's you need to succeed if you're just willing to put the time and effort in Northumbria University is the best place to be!
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
I definitely have grown up a lot more!
