Digital Marketing MSc.

What is it like studying at Northumbria? What inspires you on your course?

Newcastle is the perfect student city, allowing for a perfect work-life balance. The main attraction for studying at Northumbria was its promise for experiential learning and it has not disappointed. I personally find hands-on learning far more engaging and rewarding as it provided greater insight into the correct practices of a working environment. The opportunity to work on real projects and live briefs set by external companies has been extremely valuable. The course content is up-to-date and covers all areas of digital marketing that are important to working practises today.

What doors do you think this course will open for you? How will your course help you #TakeOnTommorow?

With the emergence of the digital skills gap, marketing skills are in serious demand and the job market is booming. Gaining a masters degree specialising in a second discipline is going to open a multitude of doors. Through conversing with both university and guest lecturers I have managed to broaden my professional network which should increase my opportunity for gaining employment after graduation. I am most certainly looking forward to what tomorrow holds.

What advice would you give to anyone considering a Masters at Northumbria?

One year is a relatively short time and time flies by so make the most of it. Engage as much as you can. Get to know your lecturers, your peers and any guest speakers. Remember your end goal and build your network.
