Sarah Hui-Ching Lin

PHD Linguistics Student _Sarah , Hui -Ching LinI received my BA degree in Taiwan, continued my postgraduate diploma in English-Chinese, Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting at Newcastle University, and further was awarded my master degree in Translation Studies at University of Manchester. Since then, I had devoted myself to the tertiary education teaching EFL/ ESP programmes and Translation and Interpreting courses for more than a decade in Taiwan.

Teaching and research are my lifelong passions. My current PhD project aims to investigate English prepositions by using three cognitive linguistic approaches, including image schemas, frame semantics, and the prototype theory, to examine how they can contribute to EFL and Applied linguistics.
