Why did you choose Northumbria University?

It's a very good course and a great city.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Amazing place and now is my favourite city! Got everything you could possibly want or need!

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The friendly people and the amount of stuff to see and do while there!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

I fitted in very well at Northumbria and it's a great University with excellent campus facilities!

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Enjoyed mostly the city, the University campus and the amazing things I have seen and done whilst here!

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Our module tutors are always helpful and enjoy a good laugh!

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

My lead tutor on my course with his great knowledge and enthusiasm.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The new gym was a great environment with all the facilities you needed for any activities as well the student union with a hive of information activities and break out spaces!

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? 

I went to Thailand on a student exchange program sponsored by Northumbria University and whilst I was there, I learnt so much about the culture and a lot about myself!

What is the best thing about your course?

My course was to the point with the varied information you need to know to do the job I am training to do!

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Now with my degree, I am starting my new job as a Building Services Engineer and I aim to build up my career and see where the world takes me!

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? 

I have worked with my current company after being with them on placement and went part time for my last two years! I have worked on many hospitals, schools, mental health homes and even a firing range!

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips?

We went on some field trips and holidays with the University course and had a good laugh!

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Make sure you learn some but have a lot of fun while at it!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University?

During my time at Northumbria I have learnt so much about myself as a person and changed and grown and gained so much life experience!

If you had three words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Fun, exciting and life-changing!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes definitely!
