What undergraduate course did you study and where?

Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) Psychology, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.

Why did you decide to study a masters? Was it your passion for the subject? To fast track your career or to find a new one?

It is a part of the requirements that will lead me to my life goal.

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Because of the environment, a 24 hours library and excellent sports central. I can balance my study-sport life. I am interested in Occupational psychology and its something new to my country.

What makes your course challenging/inspiring/different? How would you sum up the difference between undergraduate and postgraduate study?

Very interactive and often pushes you to the boundaries of your mindset, forces you to think more. Critical thinking, postgraduate is more open, need more application of knowledge in different situation.

What are the different ways that you learn on your course? Is there a mix of lectures, seminars, team projects? Are there interesting guest lectures? Is your feedback constructive?

Student centered. Northumbria is eager to listen to students anytime. Knowledge are being taught in different ways and perspectives. A lots of interesting guest lectures to provide real life experiences.

What impressed you most about our academic staff?

Motivated, well mannered.

How accessible do you find our staff? Do you feel at ease?

Responsive. Willing to guide you even thats not part of their job.

As a postgraduate student, what aspects of university life are important to you?

Facilities that can provide enough amount of information for my research (academic journals, books, etc)

How would you describe Northumbria in three words?

Open, Interactive, Fun.

Do you feel your course has been a worthwhile investment in your future?

Yes
