Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Love it as a university, having studied here on a number of occasions.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle is a cosmopolitan city with loads of culture. Touring the art galleries is my favourite pastime.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I am always surprised by the diversity of the people and city life. The generosity and friendliness of people.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Settling in to university is easy because staff are very supportive and helpful.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Learning with a group of new people and making friends.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Course tutor, library staff and other students.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

My course tutor who is very enthusistic and patient.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Coach lane coffee shop and library.

What is the best thing about your course?

Workshops and discussions, it is an academic but practical course.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Enjoy what you do, be receptive and keep an open mind.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to utilise the knowledge and clinical skills i have acquired at Northumbria with individuals and families in my workplace.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Get your application in you won't regret it.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I left school with three GCSE's, I now have a Hons degree an MSc and I am embarking on another MA, all of which I have done at Northumbria. I have a thirst for studying.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Hard work, enjoyable, satisfied!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

I have many times!
