Where are you from?

Redcar, Cleveland.

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The University offered a course I wanted to study, plus Newcastle isn't far away from home.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, the course gave an introduction week at the beginning which eased me into meeting the people on the course and the lecturers.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Living in the city.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Lecturers on the course.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Lecturers on the course and work by friends on other courses.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Around the Students' Union and Quad area.

What is the best thing about your course?

The equipment loans facility is very helpful and easy to use, allowing me to use equipment I have learnt about in class.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Planning and preparation is key for all projects, in order to produce a high standard.

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I'm am still unsure about my future path, however, I have gained skills using Camera equipment and VFX software which will help me improve in the future.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

If you enjoy film and animation and want do projects and modules that are really enjoyable, which you can get a lot out of, then this is the course for you.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I have gained a lot more independence by living away from home which has helped a lot with my confidence.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Experimental, Fun and Rewarding

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?
