The Unit has grown its interdisciplinary research groups from three to five since 2014. These groups have researchers from across the core departments of: Applied Sciences; Mechanical and Construction Engineering; and Physics and Electrical Engineering.  

The Unit’s research groups foster inclusive and engaging collaboration that have led to major achievements, far-reaching influence and sustained growth. Find out more below.
