Curatorial and Collaborative Practices

Curatorial and Collaborative Practices explores, predominantly, fine art researchers’ interests in definitions and forms of curation, and collaborative and collective practices in contemporary art. These take the form of exhibition making, installation, live events and performances with text, video, sculpture or audio; investigations of art school pedagogy; the potential of forms of social and political reorganisation within artistic and curatorial culture; and of how cultural matter produces us as social subjects. Researchers focus too on the politics of locality and the conditions of popular and experimental cultural production in the regions.

All exhibit and curate nationally and internationally and the majority co-author critical texts to accompany major exhibitions, such as David Campbell’s ‘Double Act: Art and Comedy’ in 2016.
