Applicant Training Sessions
We're replacing Applicant training sessions with new Drop-in sessions. Each drop-in appointment is 15 minutes long.
These sessions are not intended to cover general system information. Instead, they're a chance to focus on individual questions and ethical issues. Use this time to ask about your specific applications, IRAS/NHS applications, or ethics more broadly.
Please note: We ask that you watch the relevant videos before your appointment.
Resources from previous sessions can be found on the 'Previous Ethics Sessions' Intranet page (staff only).
We are still refiguring the training offer for PGR Students! The website will be updated when the offer is live.
Please note: The training must be completed by the end of Annual Progression Year One and before the start of your data collection. The PGR training is separate to the videos currently on our webpages but will give you a good baseline knowledge on how to navigate the system.
Please see the Graduate School intranet pages for further information on all training for PGR Students.
If you have any questions, please email ethicssupport@northumbria.ac.uk.
All academic staff must complete the mandatory ethics module on NU People and Finance every three years.
Staff can access this following the below steps:
