Newcastle Congregations

July 2024 Academic Congregations 

Bookings are now open for the Newcastle ceremonies which will be held from Thursday 11 July to Wednesday 17 July at Sport Central, City Campus, Northumbria University.  Invitations have been sent by email to all eligible students. Your invitation includes the date and time of your individual ceremony and a link to book tickets. 

Please read the Invitation and Information Guide in full (please see below) as the guide will answer any questions you may have about extra tickets, gown hire and will tell you what to do before and on the day of your ceremony. 

Students can book one graduate, two free guest tickets and a third guest ticket, if required, at a charge of £15.  Please do not contact the Congregations Office about the possibility of extra tickets, more information will be sent to students about extra tickets once the booking deadline of 31 May has passed.  We do not keep a waiting list regardless of circumstances. 

Please note that your certificate will be posted out to your recorded home address following the conferral of your award, certificates are not given out at the academic congregations.
