You must wear Northumbria University academic dress at your congregation ceremony. The prices for the gowns vary according to the level of award:

Ordering your gown
Gowns are supplied by Ede & Ravenscroft. They can be ordered via their website or by telephoning 01223 861 854. Hats will be provided along with the gown and hood. The deadline to order your gown for the London ceremonies is 24 March 2024. The deadline to order your gown for the Newcastle ceremonies is 9th June 2024.
Ensure you order the correct gown - they are different for each level of award.

Please allow sufficient time to collect your gown and have your photograph taken. Please see collection times below for London and Newcastle. It is advisable to arrive early as photographs are taken on a first-come first-served basis.
London gown collection
Gowns should be collected from Central Hall on the day at the following times:
11:00 ceremony - collect from 09:00
15:30 ceremony - collect from 13:30
Newcastle gown collection
Gowns should be collected from the Students’ Union on the day at the following times:
10:30 ceremony – collect from 08:30
13:30 ceremony – collect from 11:00
16:00 ceremony – collect from 14:00

You can preorder your photography via the Ede & Ravenscroft website. Orders can be placed on the day, but we recommend that you pre-order to save time. You may also order by calling 01223 861 854.
