Ally Hunter-Byron

Converge Director

Hi, my name is Ally Hunter-Byron and I have been involved with the project since 2016 during the initial pilot. Not a native Geordie, I have worked in the region as an Arts Development worker, Performer, and Youth and Community worker for the last 19 years. I’m a graduate from Northumbria, and it has been wonderful to return to take up my role as Converge Director. Converge nourishes your soul and brings creative learning opportunities for all involved. When I consider ‘what I love the most about my job’, it has to be the inspiring people that I get to meet and work with. Both Converge students and University students are at the heart of our work. We take risks, step outside of our comfort zones and nurture our inner creativity. I feel truly lucky to be involved!
