Organoid Research Day (Wednesday 2nd November, 10am-4pm)

Organoid Research Day will include Keynote Talks from two external speakers as well as discussions and talks from Northumbria University postgraduates.

Dr Adriana Buskin, NC3Rs Postdoctoral Fellow, Newcastle University, will deliver a keynote talk entitled, 'Developing a xeno-free stem cell-prostate organoid model for precision medicine' and the second keynote speaker, Professor Kenny Dalgarno, Newcastle University, will explore 'Bioprinting and Spheroid Assembly for Physiological Tissue Models.'

The programme will include light refreshments.

10:00 -10:15 - Introduction

10:15 -10:30 -  PGR talk. Miss Gina Abdelaal

10:30 -10:45 -  PGR talk. Miss Jessica Saville

10:45-11:00 - comfort break

13:00-14:00: lunch

14:00-15:00 - Keynote talk by Professor Kenny Dalgarno, Newcastle University. “Bioprinting and Spheroid Assembly for Physiological Tissue Models”

15:00-15:15 - PGR talk. Miss Xanthea Todd

15:15-15:45 - Dr. Gerrit Hilgen

15:45-16:00 - Best PGR talk prize announcement.
