xBIM

xBIM is an open-source software platform that addresses the interoperability gap that exists between the current generation of commercial BIM tools.

It has been utilised by a number of high-profile construction-software companies to enable them to transition their products into the BIM arena.

xBIM has been used to develop the National BIM Library and BIM Toolkit with NBS, and was a core technology employed in the development of Viewpoint’s 4BIM product, the DECCMR facility management project, and Tier2Tier.

It has international uptake in counties including Norway, Italy, France, Germany, Australia and the USA and has a growing community of active contributors and adoptors.
