Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The structure of the course along with the facilities were appealing.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I have loved being in Newcastle in my first year, the people here are very friendly and the city always has something to offer.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I was surprised about the weather, i thought it would mainly me cold and miserable but Newcastle seems to get quite a lot of sunshine, even on colder days.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes I was made to feel at home, even at Open Days.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The experience of Halls of Residence, I really enjoyed the social aspect of it.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My seminar tutors.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Tony Storey.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Habita in the Students' Union.

What is the best thing about your course?

Seminar discussions.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

How to reference essays and cite cases.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Be a solicitor or barrister. My public speaking has improved through presentations which will help me in the future.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Attend your lectures and seminars (no matter how hungover you may be!) and make sure to socialise with people on your course and in your halls.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I am definitely more independent, yet more social at the same time. I have been able to cook, clean and work etc. for myself but really enjoy the company of others and want to spend more time with friends.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Exciting, Enriching and Beneficial.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes, definitely!
