Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Northumbria University Law School's reputation and its prestige were recommended by friends and relative and my institution. True enough, pursuing my final year here is the right choice and it enhanced my learning experience with the assistant of helpful lecturers here.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Newcastle city itself is beautiful. It has modern element i.e night clubs, shopping, Millenium Bridge, Baltic Centre and preserve British historical buildings like Alwnick Castle, St. Nicholas Cathedral, buildings along Grey Street etc. The mixture of both gave this place a unforgettable living experience. Favourite things to do would be allowing myself to explore and experience the different parts and the culture of the city, i.e attending one Sunday church service in the famous St. Nicholas Cathedral or catch a football game in the local pub with the locals.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

Football - the people are so united and express their full support for the Home team-Newcastle United.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, indeed. Starting the first few weeks of University overseas, the University staff has provided so much help and being so helpful and patience to your needs and enquiries.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Different level of learning experience meeting new people and culture explore.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

I would say it's the admin team at the Law school.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Senior Lecturers- Tina Bond and Tony Storey

What is your favourite place on campus?

Law School building Law practice library.

Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?

Human Rights Society- sleep out session to raise fund for children in Syria.

What is the best thing about your course?

Law - best thing about Law is you get to express your idea. There's no definite answer, depending on how you argue by applying the law.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Punctuality and plan early. The culture here has taught me that time is everything.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Lawyer - Skills that i've learned here is dare to speak out for your own.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

More observant thoughts become more critical probably because it's the culture experience and meeting different people.
