Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I heard a lot of my friends in the year above talk about Northumbria and how Newcastle was such a good student city, I then came to the Open Day and loved the course and the opportunities involved.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love the Quayside, and I like wandering around taking photographs. I like how varied all the places around Newcastle are.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes. I did feel a little lonely at first but after meeting friends and people on my course I was soon settled.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

Independence and meeting friends.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My photography support teacher- Jason Ravel

What is your favourite place on campus?

The studios.

What is the best thing about your course?

Having access to printing resources and a personal space to set up work

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

Time planning.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

Travel, take photographs from all sorts of places. I've learnt to save money a lot more!

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Definitely come to the Open Days to see if it's for you.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

A lot more independent, confident and happier.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Fun, new, exciting

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Definitely!
