This masterclass is aimed at practitioners who care for patients with Dementia and their families in the primary care setting.

The module will look at some of the frequent challenges presented by caring for people with dementia and their families in this environment. There will be time to reflect on current practice and critically analyse current care delivery with a view to developing practice.

Communication strategies and interventions will be discussed alongside issues of capacity and consent. The masterclass will also cover Delirium in people with dementia considering best practice in terms of management and recovery and will look at specific issues that can arise.
