QUERIES AFTER YOU ENROL – GENERAL

Once you have enrolled on your programme, you are no longer an applicant and are now a Current Student. This means that any queries you may have will now be dealt with by our Ask4Help Team.

You can self-serve a number of common queries by using the Student Portal, which you will gain access to, once you have enrolled. This is not the same portal you used throughout your application journey.

You can find information on how to access your timetable - which includes both teaching and Welcome Week information - on your Student Portal.

If you have received an invoice and believe it to be incorrect, you should flag this at the point of enrolment using the Questioning a tuition fee invoice article on your Student Portal to submit an enquiry to us.

If you are a sponsored student and have been invoiced for fees directly you need to ensure you have provided a valid sponsor letter for that academic year via your Student Portal - please see Payment of fees by a sponsor more more information.

Blackboard is Northumbria’s complete Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), where you can access your programme content, attend the virtual classroom, interact with your tutors and peers, submit assignments, view your grades and more.

Something that many new students need to do is open a bank account. You will have a choice of banks, and it is important to consider which bank is right for you. Please see Opening a UK Bank Account article on your Student Portal for information and guidance.

All programme (course) specific information, including your reading lists will be included on the individual module sites on Blackboard after you enrol. You can also view reading list guidance on the University Library website.
