Scope
Aligned with the global push towards sustainable energy solutions and UK's commitment to carbon neutrality and energy innovation, this special collection aims to provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on energy material advancements to spotlight the North East's role in addressing global energy challenges and fostering collaboration among researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers.
We welcome manuscripts from diverse aspects of energy materials including but not limited to:
- Advances in photovoltaic materials and solar cell technology.
- Development of energy storage systems, including batteries and supercapacitors.
- Innovative thermal management materials for energy efficiency.
- Electrocatalysts for fuel cells and water splitting applications.
- Smart materials for energy harvesting and sensing.
- Approaches to developing the next generation of energy researchers.
This special collection highlights the region's unique contributions to the field of energy materials, serving as a testament to the North East's vibrant research community and its pivotal role in driving forward the teaching and learning in energy materials.
