Our AlumniThe ANTIBODY NETWORK bought together Northumbria University researchers with common research interests in antibodies and antibody like molecules. Research areas included investigating antibody structure and refining detection assays of specific antibody producing cells. Furthermore, the role of antibodies in immunity to novel vaccine targets has been integral in designing new vaccines, as well as their application in therapeutic interventions. The network has nutured interations between Northumbria University based immunologists, microbiologists, engineers and chemists, as well as cementing international and national collaborations including industrial partnerships, resulting in successful external funding bids. The ANTIBODY NETWORK will continue and like antibodies, evolve into a more interactive research sphere.
