Programme Fees & Tuition
Studying with the i2i International Soccer Academy at Northumbria University starts at £34,500 per year for International students joining us in September 2026. The fee includes your academic tuition, the soccer development programme and initial accommodation at Trinity Square, one of our University-managed residences. A detailed breakdown of costs are outlined in applicant offer letters.
Please note that whilst academic tuition and soccer development programme fees will be honoured for your duration of study should you remain on your course, the University reserves the right to increase accommodation charges each year prior to re-contracting rooms.
General living expenses such as food and travel are not included, however the cost of living in Newcastle is amongst the lowest in the UK. For any additional academic course costs, please visit the specific course pages. The university library provides free access to all books and other references for module reading lists, however some titles are advised for student purchase.

Students on an i2i International Soccer Academy programme are required to pay a deposit of £17,250. You will not be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) which is required as part of your visa application, until your deposit is paid.
If you are receiving US Federal Loans and/or Private Loans to aid funding your studies, then you may be exempt from paying all of your deposit. Note that you may only commit 50% of your total loan amount toward your deposit and therefore the following applies:
- If you are borrowing $40,000 USD or greater via US Federal Loans and/or Private Loans, this will be payable direct to the University and exempt you from any deposit requirement.
- If you are borrowing less than $40,000 USD you may be required to make an additional payment to secure your CAS. Details will be provided to you upon confirming your loan.
You can pay your deposit via our International Payments Portal. For alternative methods, please visit the paying your fees pages within the Student Portal.
Please note you will not be able to access the Student Portal if you have not yet applied to Northumbria University.
