Have you downloaded the NU Connect App? It is your app, helping you keep track of your University life and find your way around Campus.

Features include:

  • Timetables for both your lectures and your exams.
  • A Finder menu to look for available PCs and software.
  • Location maps to help you find your way around the campuses and stay safe.
  • A Travel menu featuring the Campus Bus maps and timetables, and information about car and bike parking.
  • An Accommodation slider for University Halls of Residence, featuring key facilities and pictures of typical rooms.
  • My Profile to see core details, which are often hard to remember when you have so much information put your way
  • Messages to allow us to send you key notices through the app, from teaching notices to information from your Students’ Union.

Want to find out more?  We've created a NU Connect Guide to help you familiarise yourself with the app.

How do I get the NU Connect App?

NU Connect runs on both Apple and Android - visit your App Store now.

App Store Google Play

Note: This replaces the previous Connect NU app, which you must remove from your mobile device and switch to using this one.

How do I login to the NU Connect App?

When you first open NU Connect you’ll be prompted to login. Please enter the following information:

  • Email: Your Northumbria username + @northumbria.ac.uk (e.g. w12345678@northumbria.ac.uk)

  • Password: Your Northumbria password (This is the same password you use to logon to Northumbria University IT facilities such as the Student Desktop or Blackboard.)

You shouldn’t need to enter these details again unless you re-install the App or tap the Logout button.

Please do not click the Sign-in Options button or use the "Can't access your account?" link. If you do have any issues logging in, please simply contact the IT Service Desk via the Self Service IT Portal.

Important note about security: We’ve set the app to stay logged in, this is to ensure you can quickly access key areas like your timetables.  As you use your Northumbria Username and Password to access NU Connect, it’s important that you properly protect your mobile devices.

You should always keep your phone locked and, just as you would with a computer password, change it regularly and especially if you think someone else may know it.
