New Password Reset Service

A new simpler Password Reset Service has recently been launched, giving you the opportunity to easily reset your own password if you forget it.

Simply visit www.northumbria.ac.uk/passwordreset , all you will need is your username and your existing DUO app will verify your identity so you can reset your password quickly.

Your new password must meet the university’s password control protocols.

  • Passwords should be at least 12 characters in length, and a combination of at least three out of four rules.
  • Uppercase characters (A through to Z).
  • Lowercase characters (a through to z).
  • Numerical digits (0 through to 9).
  • Non-alphabetical characters (eg. ! $ # % @ +).

You should avoid using easily guessable passwords and change your password regularly and at least once every 90 days.
