Professor Tamsin Saxton

Tamsin joined Northumbria University in the Department of Psychology in September 2012, following posts at the Universities of St Andrews, Edinburgh, and Abertay Dundee.

Tamsin is a behavioural scientist who takes an evolutionary approach to understanding human behaviour. Her research programmes have spanned the development and nature of human mate choice judgements, the significance of biological traits in interpersonal perceptions, and the role of chemosignals in interpersonal interactions.

Tamsin is currently a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow, investigating the role of odour in parent-infant interactions.
