Tony Ross

Lecturer

Department: Nursing, Midwifery & Health

Anthony -Ross ,-Northumbria -University -web

I qualified as a nurse in 1986 and have continued to practice over the past 30 years working in a range of areas from elderly care, acute in patient, addiction services and latterly in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Reflecting over my career my passion and drive is informed by trying to provide quality service to the people to whom we are charged with the provision of care.  In particular ensuring the voices of the excluded and disadvantaged are heard and that equitable care and services are available to all.  In my personal narrative I am a father of 2 children one who has just developed adolescent and a proud grandfather to baby Theo. It is also important my cultural heritage of being a proud “Mackem”.
