Veronika Ivannikova is a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, working within the EPHEMERAL Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network. 

Veronika's main research focus is women’s entrepreneurship in rural areas. Her interest in this topic began during her master’s studies in Germany, where she explored the experiences of famous women entrepreneurs in China. Her current research examines how place shapes the experiences of women entrepreneurs in rural areas, with particular attention to intersectionality, embeddedness and life-course perspectives.

The research adopts a qualitative, interpretivist approach and will draw on semi-structured interviews across rural European contexts.
