Dr Imane El Hakimi

Assistant Professor

Department: Newcastle Business School

Imane’s industrial experience in various sectors in many countries increased her interest in International Management involving employees’ behaviour and how to challenge such behaviour through innovative practice.

It drove her to develop such curiosity exploring new paradigms in Management through her PhD on “Arab Management Practices from a Trust Perspective – The case of International Companies in Morocco”, awarded in September 2016 at Plymouth University.

At an academic level, in addition to her role as programme leader for MSc Business with programmes (September intake – Generalism courses), she is involved in delivering sessions to Level 4, 5, 6 and 7. Contributing to Northumbria University strategy in providing high quality learning, Imane organised the Social Hackathon in 2015 as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week which takes place each November.
