Agile Business Consortium, CEO

John was appointed CEO of the Agile Business Consortium in September 2018. He graduated with an MBA from Newcastle Business School in 2005, and has been a guest lecturer for many years at NBS and at universities elsewhere in the UK and internationally.

John is an NED of The Transformation Trust, and has been a member of several Boards, including the Advisory Board of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council, and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on International Trade & Investment. He has also been a consultant to the UN International Trade Centre, and an adviser to the Cabinet Office.

John’s core mantra is simple – ‘Innovation is a function of ideas – ideas are a function of connections’, and his mission in life is to connect people with ideas, opportunities and, of course, other people. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Commercial Management, and a former FCO Diversity Champion. He is also a sports psychologist and sports massage therapist, with interests including running, cycling, recreational writing and coaching reluctant marathon runners.
