The new-look summer edition of Northumbria University News is out now

29th June 2018

The summer edition of Northumbria University News is here.

Boasting a dynamic new look and bold wraparound cover, Northumbria University News is the perfect way to ‘read all about’ the exciting developments taking place across the University.

This issue’s cover story sees Northumbria’s reputation for enterprise reach new heights as the University is named No.1 in the UK for graduate start-ups for a second year running.

Meanwhile on Pg. 3, you can read how Northumbria has strengthened its global presence with a new partnership with Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS).

There’s also a special four-page pull-out on the ‘greatest’ event of 2018, the Great Exhibition of the North, and Northumbria’s key role on the Get Design Trail. Read more about Northumbria’s exciting programme of events and activities here.

You can also read about the latest campus developments following more than £250m investment in recent years, including the refurbishment of the University Gallery and opening of the Woon Gallery of Asian Art. This brand new gallery space will feature a unique collection of artworks, including rare Buddhist and Asian pieces and contemporary works by the likes of Picasso, Warhol and Hirst, generously on loan to Northumbria from the Woon Brothers Foundation.

Finally, in the Sport pages you can read all about the winners at this year’s Sports Ball and how a Northumbria student helped prepare athletes for the Commonwealth Games.

All this and more in Issue 16 of Northumbria University News. Available now from newspaper stands across City and Coach Lane campus and online. To read the online edition click here now or to request hard copies email: media.communications@northumbria.ac.uk
