Financial Support

To support and increase the number of Early Career and Indigenous Scientists at the IGS Symposium on Verification and Validation of Cryospheric models, we offer funding to partially cover the expenses to attend the conference.

We prioritize to support early career scientist (up to five years after PhD) or indigenous scientists, but also accept pertinent applications from scientists at other stages of their career.

Support will cover the symposium registration fee only.

Application procedure:

Send:

  1. submitted conference abstract,
  2. maximum 2-page CV, and
  3. a short paragraph with motivation for your application

to: jan.rydt@northumbria.ac.uk with “IGS2024 Support” and your name in the subject

You will be requested to submit a 1-page feedback form after the conference.

The submission deadline is 31 May and all applicants will be informed about the outcome by June 14th.
