‘Future Readiness’ has become a cliché, and with good reason. As Canadian Premiere Justin Trudeau said “The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again”.

When the future is changing so fast that we find it leaking into the present, how can we plan for it, let alone lead our teams, our organisations, or even our lives, so they – and we – are successful and satisfied?

From trendspotting to scenario planning to digital leadership, John Williams explores the nature of Future Readiness, why we need it, and how we can achieve it – before the future gets here.

John Mark Williams is a Northumbria University alumnus and Chief Executive Officer of The Institute of Leadership and Management. He has held CEO and Director positions in the UK, Middle East and Far East. He is a former UK International Trade Director and was the UK’s Export Promoter to the Arabian Gulf. Prior to his work in leadership development, John spent time in oil and gas, higher education, and corporate banking.

This lecture will be held at Northumbria University London Campus. A drinks reception will be available from 5.15pm, prior to the lecture at 6pm
