Alumni
Alumni
Northumbria University is renowned for the calibre of its business-ready graduates. Our alumni network has over 253,000 graduates based in 178 countries worldwide in a range of sectors, our alumni are making a real impact on the world.
Our Alumni - Work For Us
We pride ourselves in delivering academic excellence, encouraging students to challenge the status quo and help them develop skills to tackle the global problems of tomorrow. Central to this is ‘Education for Sustainable
Development’ - sharing an understanding of sustainability challenges and developing
the skills needed to address
them. We provide such education to students and the
wider community through our taught courses as well as through additional
opportunities and outreach.
In the Spotlight: Student Opportunities
There are a multitude of ways that students at Northumbria can develop knowledge and skills to solve global sustainability concerns. Our teaching is driven by high quality research and real-world examples encouraging students to explore and tackle the biggest challenges in their discipline. Every year hundreds of our students have the opportunity to complete workplace placements. These not only provide personal development for future employment but also give insight into challenges and practices within their chosen sector. We also provide a wide range of extra opportunities to learn about sustainability and to make a positive difference, including our Sustainable Futures student forum which embeds the student voice within our sustainability strategy.
