Jonathan Smith

I graduated from Northumbria's English Literature course in 2009 and went on to graduate from the MA Creative Writing in 2011. I am now working at Glass Digital, a marketing agency founded by a fellow Northumbria graduate.

I am working as a Content & Research Executive at a digital marketing agency called Glass Digital. 

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

Modern campus, geographical proximity to my home and a good reputation.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

I learned a lot about writing and research. The experience of the University was good.

What impressed you most about our academic staff?

Their expertise in specialist subjects like creative writing.

How connected was your course with industry?

I felt my MA was very connected with the publishing industry as we had visits and talks from well-established figures, such as publishers and agents.

What was the best thing about your course?

On my MA, it was the close knit group that we formed. They provided a lot of valuable advice that benefited my work.
