Whilst studying at Northumbria University, I was given the opportunity to work with a local-based digital marketing firm. It is here where I discovered my passion for this newfound topic/world. After the threee years of learning social media marketing and graduating from University, I was lucky enough to come across an exciting position at Embryo Digital in an SEO Executive role.

What are you doing now?Aaron Luce

I am now working as a full time Search Engine Optimisation Executive. The reason I find SEO so exciting is how you can organically help a clients' business rapidly grow resulting in more traffic/conversions for the businesses. Going forward I am most excited to learn more about link building and understanding more about how you can help a clients business rapidly grow, there's nothing that makes me happier than seeing businesses succeed!

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

The facilities that Northumbria offer are fantastic. Attending the open days at Northumbria University was very beneficial, the thing I most liked about this university was the campus-like feel to it. Everything is all in one place and the library and facilities are easily accessible to walk to.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

Studying at Northumbria University was a great experience, everything from the staff to the students I worked with was a pleasure. I feel that I learn on a more practical basis, and with Northumbria they offered a lot of team projects. Along with this we had a well balanced mix of lectures and seminars that worked great together.

What was the best thing about your course?

Connecting with like minded people. I am very passionate about entrepreneurship so having a course based on this available was great, I also got to network with great like minded people.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

My degree equipped me with theoretical and practical knowledge of advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods. Without these skills, I would never have landed a role as a research executive, which ultimately lead on to my current position.
