IJCLE/ENCLE/CLEO Paper Presentations

All presentations will relate to one or more  of the IJCLE/ENCLE/CLEO themes (examples are given below):

  • The Clinician and Community Needs 
    How can clinicians work with communities – what barriers exist given the clinician’s common position in academia?; opportunities and challenges presented by the clinician’s duty to their students and to the community; community needs assessment – what role can the clinician play in assessing unmet need?
  • The Clinician and Research into the Impact of the Clinic
    Presentation of research findings; methodological papers exploring how impact may be assessed and the clinician’s role in that assessment.
  • The Clinician and Academic Identity: Teacher/Researcher/Activist
    The position and status of the clinician in the faculty; clinicians as teachers beyond clinic; clinicians as researchers – professional development; the relationship for the clinician between activism for social justice and teaching.
  • The Clinician and Curriculum and Student Learning
    The clinician’s role in curriculum design beyond clinic; best practice in clinical supervision; the nature of the educational relationship between clinician and student;  professional development of the clinician as supervisor.
