Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
I chose Northumbria because of the excellent reputation of the Law School and Newcastle being one of the best cities for a student to thrive in! Also the facilities are great, the staff are helpful and the sports clubs are all of such an excellent standard. You will never be bored at Northumbria.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
Newcastle is fabulous as there is so much to do and it's so easy to access everything! The Metro and other public transports are reliable so you will never be late to the party. Besides from partying, Newcastle offers so much more. Myself am a member of a local rugby team Novocastrians, the most welcoming and committed club that has great links with the University team that gives anyone an opportunity to meet real Geordies and experience Newcastle to the fullest!
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
The weather isn't as bad as you would assume! Although the wind can bite a little bit.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
There is something for everyone at Northumbria, sports, societies, volunteering, so fitting in was not an issue that ever crossed my mind!
What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?
Everything! Even the late nights in the Law Library.
Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?
My friends whom I met in my Halls from day one. Always there to help.
What is your favourite place on campus?
The library narrowly misses out to the SU, such a chilled place to have a laugh after a hard days procrastination.
Have you joined any sports teams, clubs or been involved in any volunteer projects? Tells us about the highlights?
Highlight of Northumbria Rugby Union is definitely Stan Calvert! The build up is electric and come match day the games are always so close, but there is no better feeling than earning pride for what is a great institution.
What is the best thing about your course?
The tutors! They are always so helpful and understanding, mostly the door is always open for whatever reason.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
Be prepared, and do your work well before the deadline!
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
Do! It will be the best decision of your life! Don't over think University choices! Northumbria is a place for all the thrive and be happy, nothing can make you perform better than that.

Yes, I hope my brother comes here and makes it 3 for 3 in the family!
