The Wubbleyou Postgraduate Scholarship 2627

Northumbria is proud to work in partnership with Wubbleyou, to introduce the Wubbleyou Postgraduate Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence, Computing and Data Science* to commence September 2026.  The scholarship will award one student with who chooses to study on one of the below eligible programmes* with £2,000 during their one year degree.  The money can be used to enhance the overall learning experience.

Wubbleyou productise knowledge and capability into tech products for businesses, creating 7 figure opportunities they didn’t have before.  They strongly believe they need more businesses building market leading tech products in the North East.  To do this, they need more highly skilled, and ambitious people starting tech careers.

They believe providing a scholarship encourages this, and provides fairer access to higher education and strongly value learning, education and building tech products.

Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Wubbleyou Scholarship you must;

  • Be a UK/Home applicant with 'Home' fee status - This includes students domiciled in Jersey, Guernsey, The Channel Islands, Ireland and Isle of Man
  • Apply to study on an eligible Computing course (*listed below) commencing in September 2026 at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus
  • Meet the terms and conditions and accept your offer
  • Be a self-funded student
  • Not have fees which are paid in full or in part through a sponsorship arrangement, i.e. employer funded

Eligible Courses*

Important Information

  • The student selected for the Wubbleyou Scholarship will not be eligible for other Northumbria Postgraduate Scholarships
  • If you are selected and are a Northumbria Alumni, you will also be eligible for the Alumni Discount
  • The scholarship is awarded as a cash sum
  • The successful student will receive a £2,000 cash payment on a one year Full Time eligible course (*listed above) studied at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Campus in September 2026
  • The scholarship will be paid as 25% in November 2026, 25% in February 2027, and 50% in May 2027
  • If your course is longer than one year, the scholarship will be provided in the first year of study only
  • The successful student will be required to send a thank you letter and progress updates to the donor
  • If you do not provide a thank you letter and progress updates to the donor, the scholarship may be withdrawn
  • If you defer your place or transfer to a course not on the eligibility list, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn
  • If you decide to leave your course after a scholarship payment has been made, the University will not make efforts to reclaim the amount
  • Northumbria reserves the right to withdraw this scheme at any point
  • The University's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal

 

Selection Process

  • There is a competitive selection process for this scholarship scheme.  Applicants need to apply via online written application; a selection panel will consider all eligible applications.  In no more than 3000 characters (500 words); Describe the personal attributes that you will bring to the Computing sector and explain how you will utilise and embed these attributes as a future employee.
  • The successful applicant will be notified once the evaluation panel has met, no later than Friday 18 September 2026.
